is a small practice that operates between architecture, research and academia. driven by an interest in existing structures and their potential for transformation, the office explores different design approaches to heritage and the built environment, questioning what preservation means today and how reuse can transcend purely ecological motivations and generate new architectural discourses. the office was founded in 2022 by laura solsona and eduard fernàndez.

the project is a refurbishment of an apartment keeps the bedrooms in their original position and demolishes the fourth room to enlarge the kitchen and extend the living area, along with some minor adjustments to the toilets and laundry room. the interior renovation is organised through two storage bars set opposite the two balconies. rather than relying on heroic gestures or iconic finishes, the project focuses on the everyday conditions that give meaning to the home. in this way, domestic life becomes architecture, understanding daily routines as a form of design.
in this sense, the model plays a key role in materialising this approach. it becomes a tool to choreograph everyday life within the space, allowing these nuances to be tested and communicated. through it, objects and furniture are not secondary elements but active components of the contemporary life, shaping how the space is perceived and inhabited.
