is a small practice that operates between architecture, research and academia. driven by an interest in existing structures and their potential for transformation, the office explores what preservation means today and how reuse can transcend purely ecological motivations and generate new architectural discourses. the office was founded in 2022 by laura solsona and eduard fernàndez.

The
project establishes four rooms of 3x3m to create an interior with no clear
hierarchy. All the rooms have same proportions and finishes, yet they are not
identical: each of them is nuanced by one fixed element such as a door, a
kitchen counter, or a washbasin.
A big opening of 1,80m connects the rooms between
them, creating certain ambiguity of use and overlapping different domestic
activities in response to the scarcity of space.
This allows the future user to
occupy the rooms according to their needs and everyday rituals.
