Convertion of sheep sheds into guest roomsTwo guest rooms with open bathrooms transform spaces that were originally inhabited by animals—one red, the other green. The project introduces a series of formal and scalar games, blending new and existing vernacular elements of the house to respond to the unusual proportions of the rooms.

One
room was so small that integrating the bathroom into the main space helped
maximize its use. Three light green wardrobes offer a degree of privacy for the
shower and toilet, while also defining the sleeping area. The green tiles blend
with the bright tones of the walls, allowing for a softer, more relaxed mood.
The other room is quite the opposite. The tunnel-like shape and its plaster vaults make the scale of the space ambiguous. Is the ceiling too low? Or is the furniture simply out of scale? It is—but also not, or at least, not only.
